Two brewers in one pot
Most pour-over coffee brewers are single-use. The filter fits one type of grounds; brewing tea means a different vessel entirely. This brewer solves both problems with a reversible 250-micron mesh filter:
- Pour-over coffee mode: fine 250-micron mesh holds back coffee grounds while allowing full flavour to pass through. No paper filters needed, ever.
- Loose-leaf tea mode: flip the filter and the larger mesh lets tea leaves steep freely, then holds them back cleanly when you pour.
One pot. No paper filters. No second vessel taking up bench space.
What makes the pour-over method better
Pour-over coffee extracts more nuance from good beans than a standard drip machine. Because you control the pour rate and bloom time, the water passes through the grounds at the right temperature and speed, producing a cleaner, brighter, more complex cup than pressure-brewed or drip-filtered methods.
The same logic applies to tea. Steeping loose-leaf tea rather than using tea bags gives you full leaf expansion, better flavour release, and none of the papery taste that teabag filters leave behind.
